Syreon promoting evidence-based health policy in Ghana

ISPOR Ghana Chapter (https://www.ispor.org/member-groups/global-groups/regional-chapters/ghana) organized a successful scientific symposium in collaboration with the Ghana Ministry of Health, the Embassy of Hungary in Accra and Syreon Research Institute. 

 

The opening speech of the event was given by H.E. Tamás Fehér the Ambassador of Hungary. The theme of the symposium was “Improving patient access to essential medicine and health technologies by evidence-based policy decisions”. On behalf of the ISPOR Ghana Chapter, presentations were given by Dr Emmanuel Ankrah Odame, Prof. Peter Agyei-Baffour and Dr Brian Asare. Clinicians were represented by Dr Emmanuel Sarkodie, a chief haematologist from 37 Military Hospital in Accra. Speakers from Syreon Research Institute were Krisztina Tóth, Dr Marcell Csanádi, Prof. Zoltán Kaló and. The open discussion was moderated by Dr Baffour Awuah from the Ministry of Health and by Dr György Széles from Syreon.
