Successful SRI bid to the European Commission
As a member of an international consortium led by Brunel University (London) Syreon Research Institute successfully applied for a project in the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission. The project entitled European Study on Quantifying the Utility of Investment of Protection from Tobacco (EQUIPT) is to commence in October and last over the next three years. The consortium brings together expertise from multiple disciplines and aims to provide health care policy makers with bespoke information about the economic and wider returns that investing in evidence-based tobacco control including smoking cessation agendas can generate.
